In 2025, I went to CES for the first time, we published a new book, and kept on pumping out the content that helps you make the most of your home technology. Read on to see what changes you may have missed, our most popular and favorite articles, and what’s coming in 2026.

Changes at HomeTechHacker in 2025

Life by Design book in paperback and ebook format with message about focusing on what truly matters

This year included three very large accomplishments. First, I got to go to CES for the first time. It was a magical experience, and although I won’t be going in 2026, I’ll definitely be going again sometime in the future. It is truly the best conference I have ever attended.

I also released a new book for the first time in three years. Life by Design is a great book for those looking to automate the systems and processes that they would like to spend less time on so they can focus on what’s important to them. The book has been well received and has great reviews. Get it if you haven’t already.

Which leads us to the third accomplishment. I opened my own bookstore so I can sell directly to you! You can buy all my ebooks, audiobooks, and purchase autographed copies directly from me. And these are the best prices on the internet, especially if you buy a bundle! In the process of doing this, my ebooks are now available in many more stores than Amazon now.

My five favorite articles of 2025

my favorite

These are articles that I enjoyed writing or working on during the year for the reasons I describe below:

  • Highlights And Thoughts From CES 2025 — I enjoyed writing this article because I really enjoyed going to CES. It has long been on my bucket list. I got to see incredible tech, meet some famous people that I’ve followed for years, and see an incredible keynote and performance inside the Sphere!
  • Fit by Design: How AI and Tech Fueled My Year of Health and Fitness Transformation — In my personal life, I decided to take control of my health and fitness in 2025. The results, largely fueled by tech, have left me as healthy and as fit as I have ever been in my life. No one can give you fitness; you have to earn it yourself, and this article chronicles that journey.
  • Getting Started with WLED: The Easiest Way to Create Stunning LED Displays — I first started using WLED years ago, and although it wasn’t extremely difficult then, it’s even easier now. This article shows you how to create great LED displays easily and inexpensively.
  • Monarch Money Review: Budgeting the Smart Way — Very high up there in my personal priorities, right below health and fitness, is financial fitness. Monarch Money helps me manage my finances in great detail and has been worth every penny. The insights I’ve learned from it have saved me way more money than it costs me. I use it every day!
  • How I Use AI in Everyday Life to Work Smarter and Live Better — AI, and articles about AI, are everywhere these days. But I like to focus on practicality and how to use tools to better my life. This article goes through exactly how I use AI to do that, and I’ll expand on that in 2026!
