As you can see in the images below, I plugged the transmitter into an outlet in my office, and it correctly detected the circuit.
In my testing, it was accurate every time. The receiver also filters out noise from neighboring breakers, which helps reduce false positives — something cheaper models sometimes struggle with. For more accuracy, use the two-step scanning as recommended in the manual. To do this, scan every breaker in the system, ignoring any beeping or lights. Then go through and scan again, and it will beep when it finds the right circuit.
The included carrying case keeps all pieces organized, which is handy if you store your tools in a larger kit. I can see this becoming a go-to tool for any homeowner or DIYer doing frequent smart home installations.
