This little gadget can automate your lights, garage, fireplace, and more! It and its predecessor are my favorite smart home gadgets in the house.

This is the smartest, most beautiful light switch/smart home hub out there. I have these in my home and they can act as video intercoms too!

These smart plugs have been rock solid for me (my review). They also can be used without the cloud.

These are a good choice if you want smart plugs with energy monitoring. They can be flashed with Tasmota for local control.

I have two earlier versions of this smart lock in my home. They are 100% reliable and safe.

This is a clever device that can automate your dumb blinds. You can see my review here.

A combination of the Hub Mini and the Meter Plus. Also, it adds Matter capability to SwitchBot products. Review coming soon.

This is a solid thermometer and humidity sensor that integrates with Home Assistant. See my review here.

The original SwitchBot. Need a button presser? This is your gadget. Here’s my review.

A simple 2-button remote that can be used to trigger SwitchBot device scenes. See my review here.

The Hub Mini adds cloud control, voice assistant integration, and IR control to SwitchBot devices. See my review here.

I have a version of this dimmer which I absolutely love (my review). You can’t go wrong with Shelly.

Another affordable smart home light switch, this time from TP-Link. I have one in my home that works great (my review).

This is a gorgeous vintage-looking smart light that I reviewed. You can pair it with this base for a nice effect. I have this bulb in my home office.

I have a couple of these bulbs (my review) and they perform great! An inexpensive alternative to Philips Hue bulbs.

I have some of these indoors and outdoors. They are my brightest smart LEDs. They have local control capabilities.

In case you are in need of a smart floodlight. These will do great and have the same brightness as other LIFX bulbs.

This is the Aeotec version of the Samsung SmartThings V3 Hub (same hardware/firmware) that I recommend.

The Echo Dot is a great smart speaker, but it also can double as a smart home hub for most people.

Hubitat is a great smart home hub, especially if you like local control. It has a vibrant and helpful community.

The Broadlink RM4 Mini adds infrared (IR) control to your smart home. It can learn and send any IR code (my review).

Bond can control RF and IR devices. Great for integrating things like RF ceiling fans, fireplaces, and blinds into your smart home.

You can integrate this fingerprint sensor using ESPHome to do things like control your garage door.

You can use this along with ESPHome and a NodeMCU board to build an air quality sensor.
